These devices were made from pocket-sized penlights with an additional micro-buzzer linked into the LED lamp circuit. The result was a series of “sonic tools” that were as unique to the individual, and that could be made in the style of steampunk or ultra-futurism.
With a variety of LED colors available, the results could be rather surprising.
Upon the acquisition of 3D printing technology, case construction became more elaborate.
Unfortunately, the base model of pen flashlight used in the creation of these devices no longer seems to be available for sale. Currently, options for an entirely 3-D printed case are being looked into.
